Our Story
Brett Jensen Farms was founded in 1994 in Osgood, ID/Idaho Falls, ID. Brett is a third-generation farmer who grew up west of Idaho Falls. Brett started his own farm out of college, the farm initially started with 35 acres of potatoes and 100 acres of grain in 1994. Brett Jensen Farms has since grown into a thriving operation spanning approximately 16,000 with a dedicated team of 20 full-time employees and up to 45 seasonal workers during planting and harvest seasons acres across the state of Idaho.
The journey from those early years was, in Brett's words, "humbling and challenging." However, with unwavering support from his wife, Kristy, Brett, along with his family and team of employees have transformed Brett Jensen Farms into a thriving agricultural enterprise.
BJF diverse crop portfolio includes not only the iconic Idaho potatoes but also malt barley, wheat, alfalfa, canola, and corn. This diversity is a testament to our commitment to sustainable agriculture and our drive to contribute to the region's overall agricultural vitality.
Beyond our fields, Brett and his team are actively involved in organizations that promote Idaho Potatoes. We are not just farmers; we are advocates for the industry, stewards of the land, and contributors to the community.
